Academic Board Chair’s Message
This week marks one year since the reconfiguration of Academic Board membership in response to the independent review conducted by Emeritus Professor Ian O’Connor.
Uni Bar closure
The Uni Bar will be closed until Tuesday 18 July due to Union House building works occurring during for much of the mid-semester break. Uni Bar will reopen on Wednesday 19 July.
Illuminate Adelaide: Lumen Bar bookings
From Friday 7 to Sunday 23 July, Lumen bar will be back on the Goodman Crescent Lawns. This bespoke glass-walled marquee nestled amongst the playful display of Illuminate Adelaide’s City Lights can be booked for private events and all staff are encouraged to consider Lumen as a venue for any upcoming events during this time. 2023 Distinguished Alumni Awards
Nominations are open for the 2023 Distinguished Alumni Awards, which recognise alumni who are making outstanding contributions and improving lives. Submit nominations by Monday 17 July, 9 am.
Enterprise Agreement – update
Voting for the proposed ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide Enterprise Agreement 2023 – 2025 ended on 7 June and of the more than 2,000 staff who participated, 92% voted in favour of the proposed Agreement. The Agreement has now been lodged with the Fair Work Commission and you will receive a further update once the Agreement has been approved by the Commission.
Giving and Naming policies and procedures
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s Giving PolicyÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýNaming Policy and associated procedures are being reviewed. Draft policies are now available on the draft policies webpage and staff are invited to provide feedback via the online form up to Friday 14 July.
Workplace Gender Equality Agency Reporting
In accordance with the requirements of the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012 , the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ has lodged its annual public report with the Workplace Gender Equality Agency. Comments on the report can be made by contacting the HR Service Centre or the agency.ÌýPlease refer to the Agency’s guidelines on this process via their .

Preliminary feedback for Academic Integrity Policy
The Academic Integrity Policy is to be reviewed. As a preliminary step, feedback is being sought from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ community on any potential enhancements to the current policy. Written feedback should be sent to EPC@adelaide.edu.au by COB 7 July.

Clarification of MACA Policy’s Additional Assessments clauses
There appears to be some difference in interpretation by staff in the application of the Additional Assessment Procedure clauses 4g and 4e in the MACA Policy when dealing with student cases of academic misconduct. Review here.
