New security feature in Box

When opening a file in Box, you will be alerted if a potentially malicious file is detected. When receiving an alert, there will be instances where you know your file is safe to open. It鈥檚 your responsibility to be cyber safe and only open files that you trust.

IPAS annual student presentation winners

Ten outstanding students delivered 3-minute presentations聽in the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing鈥檚 annual showcase. Jarred Scaffidi-Muta won the People's Choice Tanya Monro Presentation Award, and An茅 Kritzinger earned the Merry Wickes Transdisciplinary Award. The competition was an opportunity for the community to support and celebrate talent and groundbreaking research.

Teaching space audit

The regular audit of teaching spaces begins on Monday 18 March. This audit informs investment planning for 杏吧直播 teaching space resources, to provide better teaching environments for students and staff. Audit staff count the number of students in each room, every hour between 8 am and 6 pm. More information.

Giving Day 2024 鈥 call for projects needing funding

After its success in 2023, Giving Day will return in 2024. This year our community can submit a proposal for a project that needs philanthropic support. Successful proposals will be listed as a featured cause on Giving Day. To submit a project proposal for consideration please complete the聽online form聽by Monday 18 March.

Shaping our new curriculum through co-creation

For the Curriculum Domain, co-creation is particularly important in the development of future-focused, equitable and industry-relevant education for new generations of learners.听To date, more than 400 staff across both existing universities have participated in workshops on program development, innovation and key technologies required to support our new curriculum.

Researchers workshop: Programming with Python

Python is a popular program for scientific computing among researchers, but getting started can be challenging, especially if you have never programmed before. This live coding workshop will introduce you to Python through the use of Jupyter notebooks to write programs and produce results. Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. .听

Introduce students to academic integrity

Raise awareness for the importance of academic integrity during your lectures and tutorials. Use our slide deck with your students at the beginning of semester to introduce integrity and provide a reminder to new students to complete the academic integrity module and add the resources to their MyUni course.
