New campus artworks

Prominent artist and alum Peter Drew was at work at each of our campuses last Thursday pasting up new artworks created for Lumen magazine and the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. The striking posters are of Edith Dornwell, our first female graduate and ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s first science graduate in 1885. They are screen printed and painted images individually created by Peter, with a dozen of them now prominently displayed on walls at Waite, Roseworthy and North Terrace.Â

Four conferences were recently selected through the Fund: Porous Semiconductors Science and Technology - Pacific Rim (Associate Professor Abel Santos), Reclaiming Heritage: The Repatriation of Stolen Cultural Objects in the Post-Colonial Era (Dr Ania Kotarba), 2025 International Conference on Resource Sustainability (Professor Jian Zuo), and The 20th International Conference Advanced Data Mining and Applications (ADMA 2024) (Dr Wei Zhang).

Children's ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Adelaide members experience a day of hands-on learning

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide’s North Terrace Campus was buzzing with excitement last week as it hosted students from seven Children’s ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ partner schools for an immersive on-campus experience day. The event allowed students to explore university life and get a firsthand glimpse into higher education.

Five-year partnership to boost foundational AI research in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ has announced a new strategic partnership with the Commonwealth Bank and the creation of the CommBank Centre for Foundational AI to advance research and bolster ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s AI capability. The five-year partnership will further enhance the research and education offerings of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute for Machine Learning (AIML).
