Science Alive 2025!

Science Alive once again brought together three days of curious students, engaged families, thoughtful questions, and hands-on science experiences.ÌýThis year, many IPAS members, including Dr Chris Perella and Dr Ben Sparkes, contributed to outreach activities through the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute of Physics (AIP) SA Branch, with volunteers from both the AIP and the Adelaide Optics Chapter.

Congratulations to Dr Sarah Scholten, who has won a 2025 Young Tall Poppy Science Award by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute of Policy and Science.ÌýSarah is working on the next generation of atomic clocks, developing a compact high-stability clock that outperforms GPS navigation systems for defence applications.

Defence Trailblazer is pleased to announce that QuantX Labs has signed a new research project agreement with the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide to mature their existing quantum sensing and timekeeping technologies. The $13.8 million project will advance existing designs from prototypes to deployable systems.
