Old Bookshop Student Lounge

The heritage listed ‘Union Bookshop' in the George Murray building has been restored to its full brutalist beauty.

    Project Overview

    • Location: Levels 2, 3 and 4, George Murray building, North Terrace campus

    Features

    • Multiple levels of casual seating, as well as group and individual tables.
    • Restored original staircase, brickwork and straw ceiling. 
    • New towering windows and thoroughfares through to the Barr Smith Lawns and Cloisters.
    • New undercover plaza (the Undercroft) for outdoor events, with bench seating and tables. 

    Completed February 2023.
