Voting in the Unisuper Consultative Committee election closed on 22 July 2024 and Mr Tyson Felix-Smith was elected as a professional staff representative for a four-year term.

Three new International Fellows have recently been announced and we can look forward to their work with our researchers and students on key global challenges. We welcome Dr Douglas Gibson, Professor Anne-Marie Russel, and Professor Meng Tao. Read more.
Strategic Conference Sponsorship Fund

Four conferences were recently selected through the Fund: Porous Semiconductors Science and Technology - Pacific Rim (Associate Professor Abel Santos), Reclaiming Heritage: The Repatriation of Stolen Cultural Objects in the Post-Colonial Era (Dr Ania Kotarba), 2025 International Conference on Resource Sustainability (Professor Jian Zuo), and The 20th International Conference Advanced Data Mining and Applications (ADMA 2024) (Dr Wei Zhang).
Lumen celebrating creativity

In this edition of Lumen we celebrate all things creative. Art, music, theatre, comedy, literature, research, teaching and volunteers. Plus we unveil a new artwork created by noted ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n artist and alum Peter Drew.

The inaugural 2024 Student Leaders End of Year Awards Ceremony celebrates our student leaders. Staff can nominate a deserving student for their outstanding participation, achievements and leadership. Women in research: promotions and other competitive processes
Academic promotions are often a rigorous and daunting process. To be considered for a promotion, or a competitive award such as a fellowship, simply listing past accomplishments on a resume is not adequate.
