Douglas Mawson Chair in Earth Sciences: Professor Alan Collins
Professor Alan Collins has been appointed as the Douglas Mawson Chair in Earth Sciences.ÌýThis position was established in 1983 to acknowledge the work of Sir Douglas Mawson, the former Chair of Geology between 1921 and 1952 and highly esteemed Professor of Geology and Mineralogy at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.Ìý

Le Fèvre Medal: Professor Yao Zheng
Professor Yao Zheng (School of Chemical Engineering) has been awarded the Le Fèvre Medal by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Academy of Science for his work on splitting raw sea water without pre-treatment to produce green hydrogen.
Early career award: Dr Jared Dmello
Dr. Jared Dmello (School of social sciences) was recently named the inaugural recipient of the Early Career Award for the Security & Crime Prevention Section of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, the only international professional association for the study of criminal justice that has non-profit recognition with the United Nations.Ìý

ARC Mid-Career Industry Fellowship

 (School of Agriculture, Food and Wine) has been awarded $1,141,640 over four years, as part of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Research Council’s Mid-Career Industry Fellowships scheme, to investigate the potential winemaking applications of membrane filtration.ÌýMore information.

IPAS annual student presentation winners
Ten outstanding students delivered 3-minute presentations in the Institute for Photonics and Advanced Sensing’s annual showcase. Jarred Scaffidi-Muta won the People's Choice Tanya Monro Presentation Award, and Ané Kritzinger earned the Merry Wickes Transdisciplinary Award. The competition was an opportunity for the community to support and celebrate talent and groundbreaking research.
