Top talent appointment to boost defence research capability

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has appointed Joanne Wallis as Professor of International Security, as part of its plans to enhance its capability in security related research, and contribute additional expertise to major defence projects in the national interest.

Joanne is a leading academic voice within the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n strategic and foreign affairs policy community and
the chief investigator on two ARC Discovery Projects, analysing ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n interventions in the Pacific Islands and the operation of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥-New Zealand alliance.

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has welcomed the launch of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Cyber Collaboration Centre (A3C) which has been established in collaboration with industry, academia, and the Federal and South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n governments, to train ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s future cyber experts and bolster ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s defence against cyber security attacks.
