Science Alive 2025!
Science Alive once again brought together three days of curious students, engaged families, thoughtful questions, and hands-on science experiences.ÌýThis year, many IPAS members, including Dr Chris Perella and Dr Ben Sparkes, contributed to outreach activities through the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute of Physics (AIP) SA Branch, with volunteers from both the AIP and the Adelaide Optics Chapter.

IPAS was proudly represented by five outstanding students at the 2025 Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology (SET) Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition. Three are moving up to the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ wide final.
Our Poppies the pick of the bunch
Congratulations to Dr Sarah Scholten, who has won a 2025 Young Tall Poppy Science Award by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute of Policy and Science.ÌýSarah is working on the next generation of atomic clocks, developing a compact high-stability clock that outperforms GPS navigation systems for defence applications.
