AIML team predicts mineral deposits using AI
A team from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide’s ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) has come second in the OZ Minerals Explorer Challenge. The DeepSightX team’s analysis of mineral data from the Mount Woods project area predicts where new deposits of elements and minerals could lie.

AIML awarded over $1 million in ARC GrantsÂ
ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide researchers have been awarded more than $13.8 million for new research, with AIML receiving just over $1 million of those funds.

Tech trial a win for SA grape growers
Researchers from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide (computer science, engineering, mathematics) attended workshop sessions earlier this year at the Loxton Research Centre along with Wine ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ and Riverland Wine.
2nd place in xVIEW Challenge
A team from AIML featuring Jamie Sherrah and Phil Roberts, and DST Group’s Victor Stamatescu has beaten more than 4000 submissions from around the world to gain second place in the Defense Innovation Unit’s (DIU) xVIEW Challenge.
