Union House refurbishment update
The Union House refurbishment is moving into its next phase. Works include: adding accessible, all-gender bathrooms, relocating the Fitness Hub (to minimise noise), upgrades to function rooms including enhanced access. The refurbishment also includes an exciting, new, contemporary food and beverage venue, opening mid-2024. Contact james.rivett@adelaide.edu.au for more information.
Access changes to Library level 2 North
The Library has started refurbishment of the Barr Smith Library level 2. The first stage will be in the Reading Room. There will be no access to the Reading Room from 3 April to 29 May. Items can still be requested. More information.
Infrastructure student reference group
Every year Infrastructure forms a student reference group to provide insights and feedback on facilities' projects in development from a student perspective. Share this opportunity with students in your programs, school or faculty to help ensure a broad representation and input to this important group. Students can sign up here.
Teaching space audit
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ will be auditing teaching spaces at all campuses for the week commencing Monday 20 March. This hourly occupancy headcount helps direct future plans and prioritise upgrades. Auditors will avoid disturbing teaching and will wear a ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ contractor ID. For more information, contact UniSpace.
Barr Smith Library renovation
The renovation of Level 1 North at the Barr Smith Library is now complete. It is an improved learning and collaborative space with natural light, new furniture, a 43% increase in study spaces, and more power outlets to plug in and recharge.
Outdoor room now accessible
°Õ³ó±ðÌýoutdoor room is a newly accessible undercover plaza area and is located near the lifts at the Union House precinct. It is open for general use and can also be booked for events by contacting the Facilities Booking team.
Parking permits
The grace period for on campus parking fines will end on Tuesday 28 February. All vehicles are required to have 2023 permits displayed from the beginning of March.
Temporary restrictions at Law Library
Construction work will be carried out on the Napier building, North Terrace campus, from Thursday 3 November to Wednesday 14 December (inclusive). This will affect the Northern side of the Sir John Salmond Law Library. More information.
Film crew on North Terrace campus
Filming by a local filmmaker on our North Terrace campus is expected from Monday 14 to Wednesday 30 November, 4–11 pm.
Access changes to Library Level 1 North
Level 1 North of the Barr Smith Library is currently undergoing an exciting refurbishment. There will be no access to Level 1 North from 17 October – early December 2022. Level 1 South continues to be open as normal. There have also been some collection moves outlined here.
