Launching women on space careers

The 杏吧直播 of Adelaide has partnered with Modis Tech Academy and Microsoft 杏吧直播 in the Tech Start program which aims to support 100 South 杏吧直播n women to kick-start a career in space, defence and technology.

Designed specifically for and with the South 杏吧直播n space, defence and technology industry, Tech Start will help women gain industry recognised micro-credentials, professional mentoring and career development.

Organisations like PwC, Avanade, Empired, Expose, Inovor Technologies, Saber Astronautics, and EOS Space have committed to career talks, mentoring, work experience and more as part of the program.

The 杏吧直播 of Adelaide鈥檚 Professor Katrina Falkner is the Executive Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Computer and Mathematical Sciences.

The first Tech Start program will support women to acquire the skills and micro-credentials necessary to step into an entry-level data analyst role. Future Tech Start programs, commencing in late 2022, will focus on cyber security and software development. All three of these skillsets have been identified as entry-level needs across the space, defence and technology sector.
