ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide congratulates alumni, staff and friends recognised in the 2022 ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Day Honours list.

Members of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ community, who have had honours bestowed, include Professor Helen Marshall AM, Professor Gregory Crawford AM, Professor John Williams AM, and Ms Kathryn Presser AM.

Professor Helen Marshall AM (Professor of Vaccinology in the Adelaide Medical School and Deputy Director, Robinson Research Institute) has become a Member in the General Division of the Order of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ for significant service to medicine in the field of vaccinology and public health, to research, and to education.

Professor Marshall provides leadership nationally and internationally in immunisation and infectious diseases research and policy. She is also South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n of the Year 2022.

Professor Gregory Crawford AM (Professor of Palliative Medicine at the Adelaide Medical School) has become a Member in the General Division of the Order of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ for significant service to palliative care, and to tertiary education.

Professor Crawford is a practicing palliative care physician and has clinical responsibilities with the Northern Adelaide Palliative Service. His major research activities focus on the psychological issues for people and their carers, as the end of life approaches, as well as clinicians.

Professor John Williams AM (Executive Dean of the Faculty of Professions and Acting Provost) has become a Member in the General Division of the Order of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ for significant contribution to tertiary education, to the law, and to professional organisations.

Professor Williams research interests extend across public law and in particular ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n constitutional law, The High Court of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, comparative constitutional law, federalism and legal history. In recent times he has developed his research to investigate water law and the regulation of the Murray-Darling. ÌýHe has held a number of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Research Council and national competitive grants and is the current and founding Director of The South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Law Reform Institute.

Ms Kathryn Presser AM (ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide council member and Finance Committee Chair) has become a Member in the General Division of the Order of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ for significant service to business in the field of accountancy, and to the community.

Ms Presser is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries, a Fellow of the Certified Practising Accounting Association, a Fellow of the Governance institute of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, a Fellow of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Institute of Company Directors and holds an MBA from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.

Professor Peter Hoj, Vice-Chancellor and President of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has extended his congratulations to the 2022 ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Day award recipients:Ìý
