Promoting gender justice through accountability Global 5050 (G5050) was established in 2017 with the aim of advancing action and accountability for gender justice across the global health sector. By reviewing the same set of organisations each year, G5050 monitors policies and practices to achieve gender equality and wider aspects of inclusion and belonging in the workplaces and programmatic activities of 200 of the most influential and powerful stakeholders in the sector. In 2025 this work has become ever more needed and ever more challenging. This talk will present findings from across the 8 years of data, and will explore how we can counter the current turn towards regressive removal of commitments, policies and practices to promote justice and fairness for all.
