Grants to accelerate energy and diabetes research
Three ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide-led projects have received funding from ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥â€™s Economic Accelerator (AEA), for research into improving electric-vehicle batteries, more efficient hydrogen production and better diabetes treatment. More than $1.1M was awarded, as part of the AEA program, which aims to help universities translate and commercialise their research.Â

Environment and green technology projects funded
Early-career researchers working to address global environment and climate-change issues were among the 10 ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide projects awarded as part of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Research Council’s Discovery Early Career Research Award scheme.

Life-changing medical research funded
More than $3.4 million has been awarded to the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide from the Federal Government's Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), for two projects that will aim to address the health needs of children and will examine suicide prevention.

Crucial medical research gets green light
Research into treatments for blood cancer, a sterilisation approach to kill antibiotic-resistant bacteria and using gene therapy to potentially cure childhood dementia are among six ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide-led projects awarded more than $6.3 million from the Federal Government’s Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF).
Grants underline ability to partner with industry
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has been awarded $1,405,458 in linkage grants by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Research Council (ARC) to undertake two projects that aim to reduce the uncertainties of capturing and storing COâ‚‚Â and to create a new class of optical fibre that will enable the future quantum internet.
