  • Biography/ Background

    Dr. Tung Tran is currently a research fellow in Prof. Dusan Losic’s Group at School of Chemical Engineering, the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide, South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree at Hanoi ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in 2001 and 2005 respectively, and Ph.D. at Korea ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ (KU), South Korea in 2010, all in Materials Science and Engineering. He was a postdoc at KU (2011), LIMATB at ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of South Brittany (UBS, 2011-2013) and ICPEES at CNRS-Strasbourg ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ (2013-2014), France. Since 2015 he has been working at the Uinversity of Adelaide. His research interests include carbon nanomaterials, conducting polymers and nanocomposites for sensors and electronic applications.

    Dr. Tran is a productive scientist with extensive international research experience, having more than 60 refereed publications mainly in high impact international journals. He is also author of 6 book chapters, 2 patents and have presented at more than 15 international conferences. These publications attracted more than 1550 citations (h-index of 25).
