  • Biography/ Background

I completed my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (top 3 highest) at Vietnam National ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Agriculture (formerly known as Hanoi ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Agriculture) in 2008. I then completed my Master of Biotechnology degree with first class honours at Flinders ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ in 2015. I accepted a lectureship at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Vietnam National ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Agriculture (Hanoi, Vietnam) from 2010 to 2018. I taught veterinary pharmacology to veterinary undergraduate students.

I started my PhD project in 2018 entitled “Pre-clinical in vitro and in vivo testing of novel antimicrobials for the treatment of bacterial infections” under the supervision of Prof Darren Trott, Dr Abiodun David Ogunniyi, Dr Torben Nielsen and Dr Stephen Kidd at School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide (UoA) in collaboration with our ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n research partner (Neoculi Pty Ltd) directed by Dr Stephen W. Page. My PhD work was recognized with a 2022 ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Doctoral Research Medal and Mace Bearer (UoA), Dean’s Commendation for Doctoral Thesis Excellence (UoA) and SA Government International Students Award (Highly Commended): Academic Excellence Postgraduate-Research (awarded by SA government).

I am currently a post-doctoral researcher in an NHMRC Ideas Grant led by Dr Abiodun David Ogunniyi at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Centre for Antimicrobial Resistance Ecology, the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide, directed by Prof. Darren Trott.
