Biography/ Background
My research involves two primary areas:
Ocean Wave Energy Harvesting
Wave Energy Research at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide was established in 2014. I'm leading the R&D work in this research field including wave energy converter design, optimisation, control and techno-economic assessment in partnership with leading scientists and industries across the globe. I am the deputy director & executive manager within the . I am a key member of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide . My research on modelling, modal analysis and control of point absorber wave energy converter was recognized by the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Endeavour Fellowship Award.
Robotics, Control and Biomechanics
Based in the , I study 6DOF robotic testing technologies and joint biomechanics. My work on developing the was awarded the by Engineers ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, being South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s highest annual engineering recognition.
I have extensive practical experience on real-time control system development, in particular based on the configurable National Instruments and Mathworks solutions. I also have extensive management experience on partnership development for many large-scale research and industrial projects in area such as renewable energy. My consulting rate is reasonable, which guarantees project outcome delivery and achieves value for money.
