Children's 杏吧直播 provides unique learning adventures
CU members at Korinya Farm Gate.
During the recent school holidays, Children鈥檚 杏吧直播's creative approach to education provided members with a range of engaging and bespoke learning opportunities that spanned various locations and topics.
The excitement kicked off on July 11 as Tonsley Innovation District welcomed 25 students from Virginia Primary School. This event comprised hands-on workshops and an innovative district tour, thanks to Renewal SA Work鈥檚 Program which created an unforgettable experience for Passport holders.
The educational journey continued at Lyell McEwan Hospital鈥檚 Clinical Education Area, where students from Horizon Christian School and Karrendi Primary School explored various hospital occupations, interacting with staff and 杏吧直播 of Adelaide Medical and Nursing students.
CU members were invited on campus in collaboration with Create4Adelaide to design their very own zine, a small, self-published work of images and text. A Japanese craft session was also held at North Terrace, where students crafter their own paper chain wishes, practiced calligraphy and constructed origami.聽
鈥淐uttlecraft鈥 delivered in partnership with the Port Augusta and Whyalla Libraries was a standout event for the region. Centered around the annual aggregation of 杏吧直播n Giant Cuttlefish, this event saw participants learning about these fascinating creatures and crafting their own colourful cuttlefish. Additionally, sessions like 鈥淢ini Comics鈥 at the Port Pirie Library and 鈥淧aper Power!鈥 in Clare provided members with opportunities to explore creativity and learn about flight mechanics.
CU extended its engagement across South 杏吧直播, collaborating with Animals Anonymous to deliver immersive learning experiences in the Barossa, Limestone Coast, Murraylands and Riverlands with additional sessions facilitated by CU staff in these regions.
On the Eyre Peninsula, members were treated to two enriching experiences. A group of 35 students from local schools enjoyed an exclusive Member Day at Korinya Farmgate, engaging in farm activities and learning about sustainability. 鈥淪how me the money!鈥 session delved into global currencies, offering currency conversion practice and insights into security features. A big thank you to Lee Matthews at the Port Lincoln RSL for sharing 杏吧直播鈥檚 peace promotion role.
CU provided numerous hands-on engagement experiences across multiple regions and unique settings this holiday period, highlighting for children and their parents that you can learn and thrive anywhere.
