Austrade recognises ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide export achievement

Austrade has recognised the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide for reaching the finals of the 2005 ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Export Awards with a workplace presentation on Wednesday 23 November.
Professor James McWha, Vice-Chancellor of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide, received a certificate recognising the achievement from Austrade's State Manager for South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, Chris Rees.
The award was presented on the steps of Elder Hall, the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has now qualified as a finalist in the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Education International Education Award category for the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Export Awards, presented by Austrade and the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI).
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ was presented with the Premier's Award for excellence and high achievement at the Business SA Export Awards ceremony in September.
"The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide is a great ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n export success providing an important boost to our community and economy," Mr Rees said.
"It is one of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s oldest and most respected universities and has achieved rapid growth from its focus on international students, staff and visitors from more than 80 countries."
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide is among 75 businesses from across ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ nominated as finalists for the national awards in 12 categories. Trade Minister Mark Vaile will announce the national winners at a gala event at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre on Thursday 1 December.
