The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has received a positive rating in the recently released edition of the Good Universities Guide.
Widely recognised as the "bible" for those choosing a university course or campus, the 12th edition says the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has a "very good combination of student services and a staff-student ratio to be proud of and snares the highest proportion of top-scoring South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n school leavers."
The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ receives five-star ratings for its prestige status, student demand, staff-student ratio and four stars for research grants, research intensity, and a "toughness" to get in.
In highlighting historical data such as ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s third-oldest university and the first to teach women on equal terms with men, it adds: "the main campus has the kind of setting that all universities should have, in the thick of the city action . a high proportion of undergraduates go to do honours and postgraduate work."
"It is always encouraging to be viewed in this fashion and in a medium that is well researched by potential students," said the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Vice-Chancellor Professor James McWha.
The Good Universities Guide is a consumer's guide to undergraduate courses and campuses. It includes:
- Rankings of universities on graduate satisfaction, student demand, staff qualifications and graduate jobs.
- Full details of every undergraduate degree in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥
