Record offer numbers from ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide

As university offers go out around the State tonight, the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide has made more offers to potential students than ever before.

By tonight, about 4840 potential students will have been made offers for ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide degrees. Students can check whether they have been made an offer via the website from 6pm or wait to receive a letter mailed this afternoon.

Among them will be offers for a place in South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s first Veterinary Science School, to be based at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's Roseworthy Campus. More than 170 first preference applications were received for the inaugural year of the degree.

Despite the record numbers of offers made, however, the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ is still encouraging late applications from students who would like to study at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.

Acting Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Fred McDougall said: "The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide to date this year has made 600 more offers to potential students than two years ago.

"That's an enormous increase already but, in line with our long-term growth ambitions and our aims to respond to the needs of industry, community and South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n priorities, we still have places available in areas like , , and .

"I would encourage any student who would like to study at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide but may not have applied for various reasons to make an application."

The offers to date also include 57 offers to South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n students to study Medicine at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's with significantly more offers to SA students expected by the end of February.
