Leading minds at ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Research Tuesdays

South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n business and community leaders will hear from the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's leading researchers at a new '' seminar series starting on 10 April.

To be held on every second Tuesday of the month, hosted by ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Vice-Chancellor and President Professor James McWha and open to the general public, Research Tuesdays will address significant issues for business and the wider community.

First in the series on Tuesday 10 April will be ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide Federation Fellow and one of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s foremost demographers . He will provide insights into the impact on business of a changing ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n population.

"In developing business strategy, population size, composition and distribution is regarded as a static background. Yet the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n population is changing in a myriad of ways, all of which have implications for the evolving demand for goods and services," Professor Hugo said.

Professor McWha said: "The research outcomes of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide researchers often have direct implications for local and national business and community practice and policy. Research Tuesdays will provide an opportunity for the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s leading researchers to engage with business and community leaders on issues which impact on them."

12 June, , Professor of Economics: What use is research in international trade policy and economic development?
10 July, , Professor of Computer Science: The science of making profitable decisions.
14 August, , Director, Research Centre for Reproductive Health: The reproductive revolution - have we gone too far?
