Five star result from Good Universities Guide

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide continues to be one of ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s leading universities, with top marks for its staff-student ratio and research, according to the latest Good Universities Guide.

The 2007 edition of the shows that Adelaide scored the maximum five stars for staff-student ratios, research grants and research intensivity.

Adelaide scored an excellent four stars for positive graduate outcomes, staff qualifications, student demand and international enrolments.

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ also fared well for graduates getting a job and cultural diversity.

"The picture presented of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide by the 2007 Good Universities Guide is an extremely positive one," says the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Vice-Chancellor, Professor James McWha.

"It shows that this university has a vibrant campus life, with excellent graduate outcomes, one of the highest staff-student ratios in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, and an outstanding commitment to research," he says.

"The Guide is further proof that the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide makes a unique contribution to the State."

Professor McWha says the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ is working hard to meet its ambition to be among the top universities for learning and teaching.

"We're pleased to report that we've already made a significant step in that direction with the greatest increase in overall student satisfaction of any university in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, reported by this year's Course Experience and Graduate Destination Survey results."
