Aboriginal languages: the impact on English

An international linguistic expert will give a seminar on "The Impact of Aboriginal Languages Upon ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n English" at Adelaide ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ on Monday, 13 March.
Professor of English Linguistics at the Free ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Berlin in Germany, Gerhard Leitner, will present the seminar.
The seminar is part of Adelaide ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Centre for Intercultural Studies and Multicultural Education's (CISME) Autumn Seminar Series for 2000.
Professor Leitner is the author of many books, monographs and papers based on his international research projects on language and society in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, India and Great Britain.
He is the author of "ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Many Voices: English, Indigenous, Migrant and Contact Languages" (published in Germany), and the "Bibliography of English and Its Interaction with other Immigrant and Indigenous Languages in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ and New Zealand - 1788-1996".
