The latest in a series of free public events dealing with all aspects of space will be held at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide tonight, 7.30pm.

Revolutions in satellite technology and communications can provide a myriad of benefits to remote communities right across the globe - such as telemedicine and distance education.

What is being done, and what will the future hold? How will these advances affect our lives?

Panelists include:

· Michael Miller (Chairman, mNet Corporation Ltd, ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥)
· Bill Cowley (Senior Researcher, Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR), ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥)
· Andrew Kerans (Acting Executive Manager, Radiofrequency Planning Group, ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Communications Authority (ACA))
· Walter Peeters (Associate Dean, International Space ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ (ISU))
· Ray Williamson (Research Professor, Space Policy Institute, George Washington ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥, USA)

This public event is part of the International Space ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ (ISU) program being run in Adelaide, hosted by the three South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n universities - Adelaide, UniSA and Flinders.
