ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's leading world ranking

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide is again recognised as one of the best universities in the world, with the release of the latest .

The THE rankings for 2019 list the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide as 135th in the world.

"With just eight ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n universities recognised in the top 150 in the world, and in the face of increasing international competition, this is an excellent result for the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide and for the State," says Professor Mike Brooks, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) and Provost at the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide.

Speaking from Singapore – where he has attended the THE World Academic Summit and the launch of the 2019 THE World ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Rankings – Professor Brooks says the latest ranking again places the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide in the top 150 in all three of the major global rankings:

• Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU): 139
• QS World ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Rankings: 114
• THE World ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ Rankings: 135.

"The global rankings are different in their own way, but each reaffirms the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's reputation for excellence in teaching and learning, and research and innovation," Professor Brooks says.

"The latest THE world university rankings show the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide is particularly strong in having an international outlook, helping to provide South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ with global connections and partnerships, and an international reputation for the work being done here.

"That is a credit to all of our staff – in research, teaching, and general support – who each play a role in bolstering the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s international standing," says Professor Brooks.

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide also recently placed within the top 200 in the world in the QS Graduate Employability Rankings for 2019.
