Getting IPAS ready for KOALA Conference
KOALA, the student-only Conference on Optics, Atoms, and Laser Applications in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ and New Zealand, witnessed a fantastic turnout of IPAS members for the organised practice session this last week.
IPAS organised oral and poster practice sessions with prices and pizza as many will be participating and presenting for the first time. What better way to show support to each other?
Congratulations to Tom Slattery from Prof Nigel Spooner's group for winning Best Presentation, and to Samatha Summerford and Jacob Charvetto from Prof Glenn Solomon's group for respectively winning the People's Choice and Best Poster Presentation.Ìý The Judging panel included Sarah Watzdorf,ÌýRalf Mouthaan,ÌýThomas de PrinseÌýandÌýAndreas Boes.
