New PhD project to drive advances in biomanufacturing purification
The Adelaide Graduate Research School warmly congratulates Dr Lukas Gerstweiler from the School of Chemical Engineering, who has secured funding in the latest round of the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n Government's National Industry PhD Program.
Supported by South ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥n material science company , Dr Gerstweiler will be pioneering research into low-cost purification processes for use in protein, industrial gas and mineral manufacturing. It is hoped that the project will develop new, cheaper, and better formulations which will underpin sustainable manufacturing both in ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ and abroad. The funding secured will also support a PhD student to undertake crucial research with HoloCyte, further strengthening the ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of Adelaide's engagement with local industry.
