Simplification of purchasing processes and thresholds

The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥'s Procurement Procedures have been updated, see below summary of changes. 

Procurement Thresholds

For the purchase of goods or services, where no Preferred Supplier/s exist.

Increased threshold from $20,000 to $50,000

  • Staff can negotiate directly with suppliers with a minimum of one (1) quote up to $50,000.

Purchases between $50,000 and $200,000 - Simple Sourcing Process

  • Engage with Strategic Procurement to request a minimum of three (3) quotes.
  • Requestor to evaluate quotes and coordinate the award of the tender.

The above changes provide flexibility and a more efficient process when procuring low value – low risk purchases.
