Environment Institute members Dr Patrick Reis-Santos, Professor Phill Cassey, Professor Bronwyn Gillanders, and PhD Candidate Josephine Lingard looking at the transnational shark trade, showing what they've uncovered as a cause for concern.ÌýWith over one-third of shark species now threatened with extinction, largely due to overfishing and international trade, this study provides new insights into the personal use trade of shark products through ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ and Aotearoa, New Zealand.

2025 Illegal Wildlife Trade Workshop Recap
The Invasion Science & Wildlife Ecology Group at The ÐÓ°ÉÖ±²¥ of AdelaideÌýhosted the 2025 Illegal Wildlife Trade Workshop at the Shine Dome in Canberra. Over 50 participants attended across the two days, representing a wide range of agencies and organisations, including state government representatives, forensic scientists and tool developers.
